| I would like to thank all my lecturers
at Kaplan including Mrs. Connie Richardson, Mr. Rhys
Johnson, Mr. Saminathan and Mr. Dominic Danraj for all
the knowledge that they imparted and all the help that
they extended with regard to my doubts and queries.
I feel that the lecturers at Kaplan have deep understanding
of the subjects that they teach. This enables them to
provide students with a great deal of insight into the
application of these subjects in the practical world,
adding value to the knowledge of the students. The administrative
staff especially Patsy and Linda Ng have been very
kind and generous while assisting me with the processing
of my student pass and other administrative issues at
Kaplan for their ACCA courses.

Goldi Gupta
(1st World-wide, 1st in Singapore, ACCA Paper 3.5)
(ACCA Bronze Medalist in Singapore) |
| Doing core papers was more challenging
than I initially thought. This is the first time I studied
for any exam part-time while working full-time. Hence,
finding time to study became a real challenge for me.
I wish to thank everyone who supported me, helped me
and believed in me. I would also like to thank the lecturers
and staff of Kaplan who were always so helpful. The
course material and lecture notes are very comprehensive
and well structured. And just a friendly advice for
those who are doing P3 this time to study the notes
well. Do not mug up the models but understand the concepts.
And it is not about quantity but quality of answers.

| First of all, my great thanks
go to my Taxation lecturer, Ms Lim Sok Poh. Thanks to
her, I could get high marks in the examination. In the
past, I don't like the taxation because I thought taxation
was too complicated but now I enjoy studying taxation.

their help, I believe I could not pass the examination.
In addition, I also appreciate the school's arrangement
to extend the operating hours of the library and study
rooms when examinations are drawing near so that the

this kind of arrangement facilitates our study.

Yeo Tun Jin
(3rd in Singapore, ACCA Paper 3.2) |
| I never knew part time studying
could be this taxing, before I started out pursuing
the ACCA. There were moments that I toyed with the idea
of throwing in the towel but Im glad I persevered on.
The rewards are tremendous. I especially like the manner
in which the course is structured, in the sense that
it provides a systematic learning experience, not to
mention the professional way that it is delivered. But
what impresses me most is the course content. It is
almost like on-job-training, with real cases and examples
that put our problem solving and human management skills
to the test. My enthusiasm and confident is at a high
and I am raring to go out onto the business world!
|
Yang Yan Shan
(3rd in Singapore, ACCA Paper 3.3) |
| Two years ago when I decided on
taking my ACCA, the wealth of information and the service
that Kaplans staff rendered was absolutely first class.
In particular, one of the staff, Patsy, was patient
in guiding me through the whole ACCA application process
and explaining the mechanism of the classes conducted
in Kaplan so I was able to submit my forms and sign
up for the appropriate classes all within a very tight
schedule. Finally, the ever high pass rates that Kaplan
is proud of, confirm the quality of lecturers that the
school engages. All in all, I'm glad to have made the
right choice to be with Kaplan despite the marginally
higher fees.

in a institute of higher learning. Kaplan carries itself
above commercial issues and gives tremendous value to
its students. I am convinced that the Kaplan Administrative
Team will continue to uphold the true spirit of education
and propel Kaplan into a world class learning institute.
All in all, I cherish the memories of studying at Kaplan.
I will be back to further my studies in due course.
Keep up the good work. You guys are fantastic.
Special credit goes to Mr Sami, who makes enormously
difficult accounting standards seem ridiculously easy.
His teaching techniques are very refreshing and exam
oriented. He is a lecturer that truly understands what
ACCA examiners expect and focuses on the pivotal areas
of the syllabus. Mr Sami is somehow able to reveal insights
into the examiners' minds and is a highly committed
and outstanding lecturer. I believe that he is the best
lecturer I have personally encountered and have had
the privilege to be taught by. Well done Sir, and I
wish you well.
