“FTC Kaplan CFA preparatory course played a vital role in my passing of Level 1 in December 2006. With no background in Finance
and Accounting, I decided to sign up for the Premier package. The combination of Schweser notes, lectures, classroom notes, revision
classes and mock exam was the right tool for me to prepare for the exam within the shortest span of time.
The lectures schedule provided to the students before the start of the classes became my study plan. Before attending the lectures,
I made the effort to read the notes and the books. I found this approach very effective because the lectures provided in-depth coverage
of the topics and highlights the important areas to focus for the exams. When I stumbled upon difficult topics, there are always options
to raise my doubts: I can either discuss them with the lecturers after class, email the questions to them or discuss them with other classmates
who understand the topics. My lecturers, Miss Esther and Dr Sen are extremely dedicated to ensure that I have good understanding of the
topics taught in the class and they continue to motivate the students to do well in the exams. Their explanations and advices are priceless
because of the extensive industry and academic experience they have under their belts.
As a student of FTC Kaplan, I am also given the full access to the library, student lounge and study rooms. These are very conducive avenues
to study after office hours, during weekends and the final months before the exam. I also find the staff, especially Miss Shaline is always ever so
helpful to resolve any difficulty I face in the campus during my classes and exam preparations.
With a strong foundation in Level 1, I did contemplate to do self-study for Level 2. However, after one month of fruitless effort coupled with my
busy office schedule and limited hours for self-study, it was only wise to continue my preparation with FTC Kaplan. If things go well, I will
