About The Program
The CFPCM Certification Education Program conducted
by Kaplan Financial aims to equip candidates with a firm foundation
in the process of financial planning. It also provides student
with a thorough understanding of the investment market and
a strong grasp of the various financial products, services
and strategies. The program which comprises six comprehensive
modules are structured with an equal emphasis on all financial
planning disciplines, enabling students to prepare and write
sound, comprehensive financial plans for their clients.
Students who have successfully completed the first module
of the CFPCM Certification Education Program and
meet the ethics requirements set by the Financial Planning
Association of Singapore (FPAS) qualify for the Associate
Financial PlannerCM (AFPCM) Licence.
In addition, students who have successfully completed Modules
1, 4 and 5 and meet the ethics requirements qualify for the
Associate Wealth Planner (AWP) licence.
The AFPCM, AWPCM, and CFPCM
Certification Education Examinations are conducted thrice
a year and the minimum time required to complete the CFPCM
certification is approximately 12 months. Upon successful
completion of the examinations of all six modules and the
fulfillment of the minimum working experience and ethics requirements,
the candidates will be conferred the right to use the professional
Certified Financial PlannerCM mark by FPAS.
About The Financial Planning Association of Singapore (FPAS)
FPAS is a non-profit professional association dedicated to
developing and promoting an industry providing unbiased financial
advice to the Singapore public. Established in 1998, the FPAS
vision is to ensure that all Singaporeans have access to responsible
and appropriate financial planning advise by raising the professional
standards of the industry through education and a shared code
of ethics.
FPAS is a member of the Financial Planning Standards Board
(FPSB), a global assembly of financial planning bodies. As
such FPAS oversees the administration of the AFPCM,
AWPCM and CFPCM certification process
and grants qualified practitioners, the right to use these.
