All exams can be either taken online or printed out and taken off line. Each exam can be taken once. A performance tracker allows you to see how you scored in each topic area and against other candidates. The test review allows you to review LOS summaries pertaining to the questions, while an online timer allows you to see how you are managing your time while taking the exam.

Level 1 Online Practice Exams contain three complete practice exams split into morning and afternoon exams. 240 multiple choice questions total between both morning and afternoon exams. Each question is allotted 1.5 minutes to answer. Each morning and afternoon exam is created to reflect the style and topic weighting of the real exam.

Online subscriptions will expire on December 31, 2008. Schweser releases a new version of products every year as the curriculum changes.

Level 2 and 3 Online Practice Exams contain three complete exams which are all multiple choice item set questions. Each item set is a short vignette followed by six multiple choice questions. Each exam contains 20 item sets for a total of 120 questions in each exam. Each individual question is allotted three minutes to answer. Each exam is created to reflect the weighting and style of the CFA Institute topic areas to be tested on the real exam. For example Ethics and Quantitative Methods are generally tested in the second half of the exam.
